@TrueBloodHBO Season 7 Episode 1:
"Jesus Gonna Be Here"
"Jesus Gonna Be Here"
Ok so this is my review on last night's premier episode of the last season of True Blood. The episode began right where it last ended season 6, the town's gathering to unite every vampire not infected with Hep-V to a human. The goal is the vampire grants protection to the human and the human feeds the vampire. We see where the gang of Hep-V vampires attacks the town. Right from the start we see Tara defending her mother and overcoming a vampire. Suddenly there is some kind of call and all Hep-V vamps disappear. As we see a shocked Sookie, we hear Lettie Mae Thornton scream and she's covered in what we assume is Tara's blood. Now I think this can go one of two ways, Tara is faking her death and the blood belongs to the vamp she was fighting or her mother killed her and is blaming the Hep-V positive vampires. Some humans were taken hostage including Arlene Fowler and Holly Cleary while Sam as a dog and Alice as a wolf try to follow the gang. We also see Andy with his only surviving daughter (Adilyn) back home; Andy is boycotting the event, and our baby vamp Jessica Hamby is standing outside granting protection. It is obvious that Jessica is still guilt driven after having killed Andy’s other daughters. Andy leaves to go help at the event, leaving Adilyn with Jessica as her protector, though he gives her clear instructions to not invite Jessica in for any reason.
Back
at Merlotte's we can see Sookie dealing with the consequences of being able to
read everyone's mind. They all accuse her or call her a whore. Even when Alcide
and Sam return, she can hear Alcide blame Sookie for not leaving and loving
vampires basically. Sookie decides to take off on her own; she literally trips
over a dead body. Bill, Andy, Jason and Violet decide to search for nesting
location for the Hep-V vamps and for the ones who were taken as hostages. Bill
and Andy are one team and Jason and Violet are the other, more on that later in
this post.
Let's
jump to Morocco where we find Pam playing vampire roulette with a guy whose won
27 times, the 29 shot is his last one and Pam wins. Not before lecturing Pam on
finding the lord and how his God loves him. We see our tuff and sarcastic Pam,
indicating she will be in hell having a threesome with the devil. Makes you
wonder who will be the lucky third person? After winning, we learn she's
looking for Eric. (I hope she finds him next week, we can't have two episodes
without Eric) Not that I think anyone forgot last clip of season 6 but in case
you did....we saw a completely nude Eric somewhere very icy getting burned
after Warlock is killed. How the writers will bring him back, I don't know but
they better! Ok so Pam gets direction and is off to search for someone at a
market who not only gives her information (not given to the viewers) but also
offers her his little one as a meal!!! WTF is wrong with these parents!??!?
Child blood is the only clean blood left? I would hide my kid not offer her to
a vampire. Applause for Pam and her rejection!
Back
to the search for the nesting locations, Jason and Violet arrive at a location
and some locals are already there. They accuse Jason of not being able to trust
the law, resulting in Violet stepping in and defending him. My favorite quote
here is when the girl asks "what if I don't have a dick, can I stay?"
and Violet replies "You can stay. But then I'd have no choice but to rip
your head off and use it as a candy dish." We now jump to a scene of Jason
driving and stopping suddenly and getting out (yea I'm not going in order). He
is arguing w Violet about how she "left with his dick out back there"
he reminds her, she won't let him fuck her or do his job. This results in Jason
finally getting to fuck Violet against the hood of the car. (Damn Jason has a
nice ass!)
Let's jump back to Adilyn and Jessica. Adilyn being the "smart cookie" she is, opens the window and talks to Jessica. We learn Adilyn doesn't hate Jessica. When a vampire appears since he can smell Adilyn, Jessica makes her drink her blood and has a standoff with him. This lasts until dawn when Adilyn opens the door and invites Jessica in to save her life. Jessica managed to not drain her and the bad vamp burns outside.
Sookie is home when Alcide arrives, they talk about how it's not fair to use his thoughts against him. He goes to bed and then we see Sookie climb in naked and apologize. This leads to makeup sex. Hello I want to be Sookie! She's been w Bill and Eric and Alcide, the girl is ruined for normal men now.
James (Jessica's boyfriend) was assigned Lafayette as his human. They have a weird bonding moment over a pipe at Lafayette's place before James feeds off him.
Back to Hep-V and hostages, Bill and Andy find the locals at the nesting place where we see hanging humans. Andy throws up like a girl but then makes up for that by saving Bill's life. He manages to talk the local kid from shooting Bill. Great speech he gives about once you pull the trigger your life will change forever. The hostages we learn are in the basement of Fangtasia (the location we first saw Eric's ass). It's Arlene, Holly, pregnant Nicole and a deputy who gets killed because he is just lame. Screaming woman and blood are abounding here.
The town people meet up at the church the next morning and Lettie attacks Sookie but so does everyone just mentally! Sookie is about to walk out of the church and turns around to give a speech about how she loves the town and everyone and how she is the one that knows vampires best. (Not sure she's right about that)
Other stuff I missed.... The chick that Eric turned last season (help me with her name) is staying w the priest. True Blood rocks but Eric needs to appear soon or it's not the same, I mean how can you have True Blood and no Eric? Did I mention Jason has a nice ass?!? Ahh and we learn Adilyn has a crush.
That's my recap! I hope you all enjoyed the show as much as I did
